I’ve had a very big life: I’ve tracked the Great Apes in Uganda, climbed Machu Pichu, slept in a tree house in the Amazon, and rescued elephants in the jungles of Thailand. After a long career in the music business, I had an even longer career as a writer. I learned how to surf at 50, dated 300 hundred men in three years for a story, and raised two kids on my own...
But it was when I started volunteering for an organization that uses surf therapy to help trauma survivors that I was inspired to find something worthwhile to do with the rest of my life. Everything fell into place when I had a transformative experience with a wellness coach – and found my calling. Since then, I have devoted my life to helping those wanting to find purpose, meaning, and joy, in order to live a productive and fulfilling life. I love people and I love what I do.
I have been certified by an ICF-endorsed program and am held to the highest guidelines and standards of professional coaching. All conversations are 100% confidential and judgment-free so that you can fully express yourself and dream big. There are no wrong answers.

A life coach is a practitioner who works with those seeking to improve their lives by increasing self-awareness. Using principles of psychology, neuroscience, and behavioral science, life coaches help a client clarify their goals, identify their strengths and weaknesses, and develop actionable steps to achieve their desired outcomes.
Through regular coaching sessions, in a safe and accountable environment, clients are able to gain a better understanding of their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, and how these impact their ability to achieve their goals. This increased self-awareness often leads to improved decision-making, greater self-confidence, and enhanced resilience.
With the help of a coach, clients are able to establish and work towards an objective or intention in a focused manner. This often leads to improved motivation and a greater sense of purpose. Individuals see their progress and feel encouraged to continue making positive changes in areas such as personal relationships, health, wellness, career development, and financial stability. In a recent study of over 500 individuals who underwent life coaching, 97% reported improvements in their overall well-being and satisfaction with life.
Similar to life coaching, wellness coaching is a proactive form of personal development that focuses on improving an individual's overall health and well-being. This type of coaching helps a client identify areas in their life that need an upgrade, such as diet and exercise, sleep, stress management, and emotional wellness, and create a plan to achieve their desired outcomes. By overcoming obstacles and making sustainable lifestyle changes, one can lead a healthier and more fulfilling life.
Traditional therapy focuses on resolving emotional and mental health issues from the past, such as traumas, relationship problems, and behavioral issues, by exploring the root causes and resolving them through talk therapy and other methods.
Life coaching, on the other hand, is typically shorter-term, and more focused on personal and professional growth. A life coach helps individuals identify their objectives and create a roadmap to achieve them while overcoming obstacles along the way.
Traditional therapy, also, tends to involve a more introspective process, where the therapist and client delve into thoughts, emotions, and past experiences. Meanwhile, life coaching is more action-oriented. Via motivation, support, and guidance, a life coach helps a client to focus on finding solutions and take concrete steps to achieve their goals.
